Before the opening of the new tourist season in Kraków I made a few trips myself. Here are the pictures.

If you are looking for a half-day trip from Kraków visit the 1000-year-old Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec. The western part of Kraków abounds in picturesque places and it’s one of them: a fortified church and monastery situated on a limestone rock on the bend of the Vistula River.

Another place with a tradition of over 1000 years: Krak’s Mound, the grave of the city’s founder. That’s where Rękawka is held. This year you could see some mythical creatures there.

If you’re heading south of Kraków, Dobczyce would be a pleasant stop. A vast lake, a 14th-century castle and cosy atmosphere.
